Meet a LiveIntenter: Allyson Zeitz, Sales Director
Being competitive is one of the dominant characteristics of being a sales person and it’s a good thing Allyson Zeitz hates losing. Along with being one of our top Sales Directors on our Programmatic team, Allyson has a 15 month old daughter and can juggle it all.
In this edition of Meet a LiveIntenter, find out how Allyson finds work/life balance all while staying on top of her game.
What led you to LiveIntent?
A coworker at my former company (dataxu) actually! He interviewed at LiveIntent before taking the job at dataxu and covered the DC area, so he knew Mac (Andrew MacMannis) and said I should connect with him. I wasn’t really looking, but ended up interviewing for an open AE role and now here I am, and Mac was my referral (nice little bonus for him).
What are three things most people don’t know about you?
I’m very competitive and hate losing at anything (just challenge me to any game or sport). I played Division 1 lacrosse at Penn. I’m a neat freak and it’s probably borderline OCD if you ask my husband.
What’s your favorite part of working at LiveIntent?
Walking to work (just kidding). It’s definitely the people! I love our team and I’ve made so many friends across the company. It makes coming to work easy!
What job did you have in high school and why did you do it?
I waited tables and hosted at a popular restaurant/bar down the shore (Avalon, not MTV Jersey shore). I did it to make money and to meet friends. I also sold newspapers when I was in middle school, so I guess you could say my sales career started very early on.
What’s the greatest bit of advice you’ve been given?
My dad would always say be true to yourself and another one I love from him is “worry is interest you pay on a debt that may never come due.” Which reminds me of our value “fight to win” in that there are no silver bullets. You have to have a vested interest and passion in what you do and you have to work hard to get what you want. Nothing great in this world ever comes easy.
With the demand of a sales career, how do you achieve balance while being a mom?
By working close to home! 😉 In all seriousness, LiveIntent creates a nice work/life balance for me and I’m lucky to have help from my husband.

Tell us about one of your proudest moments at LiveIntent
There have been a lot, but probably the proudest and most memorable for me was being welcomed back after maternity leave. It made me proud to be a part of such a special company and to feel like I’ve got a great work family to come to everyday.
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned from your kid lately?
She’s taught me to live in the moment or “be present,” as we like to say at LiveIntent. It’s funny how kids don’t want to miss anything to the point that they won’t eat or sleep (and adults are the complete opposite). I think we could all appreciate being in the moment a little more and take a few pointers from our youth!
